Counting down to 2027
A New Year countdown is the simplest way to share the final days, hours and seconds before midnight. The live timer at the top of this page counts down to 00:00 on Friday, January 1, 2027 in the time zone of your own device, so the clock you see matches the moment the fireworks start where you are. Once January 1 has passed, this page moves on to the New Year of 2028 by itself, so you can bookmark it and come back every December.
Want a countdown of your own, with your own title and message? Create one in under a minute and share a single link with everyone you are celebrating with.
Make your own New Year countdown in three steps
- Open the creator with the Classic design and the New Year date already filled in, then choose your time zone.
- Add a title such as "New Year 2027", a short message for your friends and, if you like, your name as the creator.
- Create the countdown and share its link or QR code in your group chat, on an invitation or on a screen at your party.
Ideas for a better New Year countdown
- Put the countdown on a TV or a laptop at your party so everyone watches the final minute together.
- Share one link in the family group instead of answering "how long until midnight?" all evening.
- If friends live in other countries, mark your countdown as a Global Event. Visitors are then invited to create a version for their own time zone.
- Choose Repeat Automatically when you create it, and the same link will count down to the next New Year as soon as this one is over.
- Use the message for the plan of the night: the dinner time, the meeting point or the song you will play at midnight.
- Save the countdown in your browser so you can open it again with one tap on the night.
